13 ° Impact test

• Impact test is to test the bearing capacity of the wheel hub under side impact. There are three different angle tests for wheel hub impact, such as 13°, 30°and 90°.

• The mandatory requirement for cars is 13 °, which simulates the impact of the road shoulder when the vehicle is driving at high speed, and detects the deformation and damage of the wheel hub.

Relevant parameter setting of 13 ° impact test

• Impact hammer mass: M=0.6W+180, W is the max carrier load of the wheel hub.

• Impact hammer height: 230MM (MMS 255MM)

Failure judgment standard of 13° impact test：

• Visually visible penetrating cracks occur at any part of the hub except the impacted contact part.

• The compressed air in the tire leaks or loses pressure within 1min.

Bending fatigue test

The dynamic bending fatigue test is to simulate the ability of the wheel hub to bear the bending moment when the wheel continues to bend lightly during driving. The test Equipment has a rotating device and an afterforce device.

Failure to determine：

• Fatigue cracks can be seen in any part of the hub after test.

• The wheel cannot continue carrying the test to the specified number of cycles.

• Before the number of test cycles arrives, the change of the offset of the loading point has exceeded 20% of the initial loading offset.

Radial rolling fatigue test

Determination of radial load force:

Fr=F·k. Fr is the radial load (N), F is the maximum rated load of the hub, and K is the strengthening test coefficient.

Parameter setting of radial fatigue test:

• Enhanced test coefficient：2.25

• Number of radial cycles: 500,000 (MMS 800,000)
